Yesterday and today were a non-stop photo frenzy for me. Yesterday I met up with an old friend, Isabel, who recently arrived in Waterloo from all the way in Mexico. We met five years ago online and haven’t seen each other in about two. We biked around Waterloo Park, had a white mocha latte at Starbucks and did a little portrait session in between as well.

Today I went nature photographing with my friend Rich. We went to the landfill, all the way down University avenue and recorded some of the last images of summer, I’m afraid, that we will see this year. The colours are turning fast and I personally can’t wait to get some red and orange in my photos soon!

The Misleading Garden: I shot this at the landfill at the West end of University Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario – the Hydro Cut trail. This is at the same spot as where I shot this image here. I thought that they had cut the poles shorter according to the images, but then realised that when I shot the previous picture I was squating next to the pole and that is why it appears bigger. Haha.

The Misleading Garden:

Distinguishable are the bright flames that burn within each and every soul, solely for the desire of long lasting affectuous inter-human interaction. Also you can distinguish, clearly dividing, the barbed wire wall of social norms, insecurities and lack of will to compromise that stand between this fire and the welcoming rich green pasture that lays on that other side.

Now why I get to show you this from a point of view that makes me look like I am on the side of that green pasture, I do not know. I most certainly am not at this time.

Why Misleading Garden?
Because the path of life promises to run along that green pasture when in reality it seldom does. It often takes countless attempts of jumping that fence, which often result in best case scenarios of bruises and sometimes rotting corpses left behind to frighten those who might attempt themselves someday.

This is a panorama (20 images, two sets of 10 on two levels) of the location where I took the images above. I am really wondering sometimes how healthy it is to bike around there with all those power wires overhead. Hmm. Here is th google maps link to where this image was taken: MAP Other images I posted on google maps from Kitchener and area are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
